The pierced server has elegant scrollwork, the centre engraved with a lake scene and a stork holding a fish in its beak. The mother of pearl handles are most attractive with decorative foliate mounts. The knife is stamped verso for John Baird & Son, 142 West Nial Street, Glasgow. Presented within the original morocco leather covered case with royal blue and silk lining. This is one of the nicest sets that I have come across.
