Silver plated spoons, forks and knife handles are made from high grade 10% nickel silver, a metal alloy that produces maximum strength and durability for Sheffield’s finest cutlery. Each piece is electroplated with pure silver to an average thickness of 35 microns with 40 microns on pieces in more regular use. All knife blades are hand forged from high grade carbon steel, creating a lasting cutting edge. The box has some damage and smells musty from storage. I use to keep it in an under stairs cupboard that had a concrete floor and keep my sewing machine on top of it. Every time I used the machine I caused a bit of damage. Obviously that doesn’t affect the use of this set. This set is used. All knives have the Arthur Price logo and 5 stars to show it is the Sovereign collection.
