Besides this plate loss (doesn’t show very much but still shows a little plate loss when displayed with the lid on), the pieces are gorgeous and intricately detailed with no dents or dings. For an idea of scale, the tea pot is approx. 11″ tall and 9.5″ handle to spout, creamer is approx. 5 tall and sugar bowl is approx. 6″ tall and 6″ wide. Check the photos for detailed information regarding item condition. I don’t hide anything!

Webster & Son produced ornate silver-plated, repousse pieces over copper like this covered oval serving dish. This piece features elaborate Dutch revival designs including windmills, dancing figures, floral/grapevine, and cherub scenes. The company was active from 1886 -1928 and were located in Brooklyn, NY. Like most of their antique pieces, this one shows warm copper tones where the silver plating has worn off. This is known as “bleeding” which reveals the copper underneath–a very desirable patina favored by collectors. Involves hammering the metal from the reverse side to create a raised, relief design. The pieces are silver-plated over a copper base. On the base (somewhat worn due to age) but still visible (see photos). This stunning antique piece comes from the estate of a retired diplomat.

This stunning set is from a south Miami estate. It was presented to the owner’s Grandfather in the early 1950’s by R. The set is in very good condition considering it’s age. It obviously needs to be polished. The coffee pot lid is missing the hinge pin. The set is solid and sturdy and weighs 25 lbs before packaging. Tray alone weighs 12.5 lbs. Hallmarks on coffee and tea pots read E. & S and EPNS 214 Hand Chased. The research I’ve done suggests the letters EPNS stand for Electro/Extra Plate Nickel Silver.
