Each piece is stamped on the underside of the handle with the RD 359947 MADE IN ENGLAND GH HERITAGE PLATE A1 mark, and on the blades with the REID & SONS LTD NEWCASTLE ON TYNE mark. All knives feature silver-plated hollow handles attached to Sheffield stainless steel blades. This vintage cutlery set shows the normal signs of use. The wooden box has some marks but has done a good job protecting its contents.

It has been in storage for a while so will benefit from a polish before you use it for the first time as I have only polished the pieces in the photo for the place setting. The wooden box does have a few marks on the outside and but has done a super job protecting its contents and has enough space to add a further four place settings.
