Silver service cutlery set. All knives feature Tusca hollow handles with Sheffield stainless steel blades marked MAPPIN & WEBB STAINLESS SHEFFIELD. Tusca is a high-quality resin used to simulate Ivory / bone handles. The spoons and forks are stamped with “MAPPIN & WEBB PRINCESS PLATE” on the underside. This set has the normal signs of use with some surface marks and signs of wear. Amazingly the set also comes with its original receipt from July 1937. The wooden canteen is the original case with some marks and chips on the lid but has protected its contents well. Checking through the set I note that one teaspoon is slightly larger than the other seven so does not fit in its bespoke slot. I guess this must be a replace for a missing piece but is still in the same Tudor pattern by Mappin & Webb.
