JULIANA D&E BOOK PIECE SILVER PLATED 5-LINK CLUSTER COLLAR. NECKLACE Sapphire Blue Hexagon/Coffin, Peridot & Emerald Green Chaton Rhinestones. This design was first seen in 1958. This eye catching necklace is part of a Grand Parure. The matching earrings, bracelet and 3-D triangular domed brooch are shown for comparison. If you are interested in the set, please take a look at the other auctions. This is a Juliana D&E book piece cluster 5-Link silver plated collar necklace with rhinestone chain linked extensions. This piece features clusters of sapphire blue hexagon/coffin shaped rhinestones, accentuated by peridot and emerald green chaton cut rhinestones. Each cluster is molded to an oblong link. The clusters rest around the front neckline and the necklace is held around the neck by rhinestone chain link extensions on either side of the 5-Link cluster. Fastens with a J hook. The stones are prong set in closed and open backs. The underside of the clustered section of the necklace has molded cup closed backs, similar to figure 8 shape. This particular molded cups as well as the 5-Link. Construction is found in many Juliana pieces and used to authenticate them. 16 ¼L end to end: the 5-link cluster section. Of the collar measures 5L. The necklace is pre-owned. It has been in storage for many years. The silver plating has some spots on the underside, however there is no tarnish, or patina. There are no missing, damaged or darkened stones. All rhinestones have retained there rich lustrous color, are sparkly and reflect light beautifully. The J hook fastens around the large rhinestone on the opposite end of the extension chain and holds the necklace securely. This piece sits around the base of the neckline and measures 16 when fastened. Please ensure that your neck measurements is between 14 15. Or less as this is not a choker. STRUCTURALLY SOUND AND IN NEAR MINT CONDITION!! It is part of my personal collection. Most of my Juliana Jewelry are gently or hardly worn. It is one of the pieces which is hard to find because of its unusual color and as a result is greatly coveted and highly prized by avid collectors of Juliana Jewelry.
