This is a Superb quality and rare 12 piece mother of pearl and silver fruit or dessert cutlery set with original fitted cased canteen box, dating from the late Victorian period around 1895 -1900. Exquisite canteen of late Victorian MOTHER OF PEARL handled Fruit Dessert knives & forks by HARRODS London The set has stunning mother of pearl handles and silver or plated collars with steel blades and forks They come in their original fitted and signed canteen HARRODS Ltd, Silversmiths LONDON SW1 The lid has a vacant brass cartouche and a English lever brass lock (no key). The set consists of 6 forks, measuring 5.75 inches long and 6 knives measuring just under 7 inches long. The blades are also marked HARRODS and the Mother of Pearl handles carry a small initial.
