A Beautiful Antique Table Centre Piece, Oak Tree & Horse Circa 1884
This is a beautiful antique Victorian table centre piece made of silver plate given as a wedding present, featuring an oak tree and horse design and complete with the original etched glass bowl. The piece dates back to circa 1884 and is in excellent condition, the glass bowl rings like a bell. The naturalistic pattern and antique style make it a unique addition to any collection and a wonderful focal point for any dining table. It measures approximately just over 18″ tall by 12″ wide or 6 wide at the base, a wonderful piece that would have graced the table of an important country house when new. It displays very well, but will look stunning when displaying fruit and could even be used with candles to create a real statement piece. Please remember this is now around one hundred and forty years old and has been used, while it’s totally sound with no damage the silver plating is very well worn but it still retains a lovely colour and patina.
