Vintage 30 Piece Walbreu-Besteckfabrik W&B Silver Plated Cutlery Set. A silver plated cutlery set by Walter & Breuker, a Düsseldorf silverware company. The company was in business between 1908 and 1943 so this set will date sometime between then, the rather wide blades would suggest to me that they come from the earlier part of their history. The spoons and forks are marked W&B. 90″ and the knives just “90. 90 indicating that 90grams of silver is used to plate 12 forks and 12 spoons (24 pieces). The set consists of 6 Table Knives 543grams 24.5cm 6 Table Forks 356grams 20.5cm 6 Table Spoons 422grams 21.3cm long 6 Dessert Forks 235grams 18.5cm long 6 Dessert Spoons 263grams 18cm long. I have included a number of photos and these probably describe the item better than I can and form part of the description. Condition:The flatware (forks and spoons) are in a good condition, scratches from use and as far as I can see the only plate loss is a small amount on the backs of two forks, The steel knife blades have stains and the odd corrosion spot but please see photos.
