Incredible Grape Vine Late 19C Silver Plate CENTER PIECE Candelabra Epergne. Fabulous Estate find of a extroadinary detailed grapes on a vine originally was meant as a centerpiece or side board epergne. The crystal bowls that fitted into the 3 arms and the one that sat on the top are not present. The arms can still contain a candle and I can see a beautiful cut crystal cluster of grapes draping over the edges on the top of the vine… Measures 19 1/2″ in height and width about 14″. The base measures 11 in diameter. All together it comes apart into 14 pieces. The 3 arms are numbered and only fit into the hole on the stem that matches their number. And the arms will only fit securely when placed correctly into their proper location. The workmanship down to the details of the branches and veins in the grape leaves is amazing. What is more amazing is that there is not one hallmark! Believed to be late 1800’s or English Victorian Era. Most definitely will attract compliments and the attention of your guests.
