All pieces are stamped on the underside of the handle of the spoons and forks with the POSTONS LONSDALE PLATE markings. The knives are made the traditional way with superior quality hollow handles that are silver plated and the blades which are made from Stainless Steel which are marked with the A E POSTON & CO LTD SHEFFIELD FIRTH STAINLESS mark. This is a vintage set of cutlery that has the normal signs and lots of heavy tarnishing so a good polish will be needed. I have pictured the tarnishing so please take a look. Th solid wooden canteen itself has a few marks but its magnificent how the interior has been designed and how the pieces of cutlery sit inside. There are are lots of marks on the outside of the canteen but it still does what it needs to do and very well. It has the original key and has a very Art Deco feel look to it.
